Aswan History, Attractions and Things To Do in Aswan : Aswan or Assuan, is a city in the south of Egypt, it is 982 Kilometers from Cairo, 260 Kilometers from Luxor, Aswan was in ancient times a trade center and the commercial gate to Africa, It was the first dstination for the Ancient expeditiong going to discover Africa and the sources of the River Nile, Aswan is famous as a winter resort because of its warm sunny weather althought that it is hot in summer, Aswan is the capital of the Aswan Governorate.
