The Karnak Temple (Arabic: معبد الكرنك, maebad alkurnak) is a vast and ancient complex of temples, chapels, pylons, and other buildings located in Luxor, Egypt. It was dedicated to the Theban Triad of gods: Amun, Mut, and Khonsu. The temple complex is one of the largest religious sites in the world and was a major center of worship for over 2,000 years, primarily during the New Kingdom period (around 1550-1070 BCE).
